Application: | Copper(I) chloride (CuCl) has been used in the synthesis of copper nanoring structures. It has also been used as a precursor for the fabrication of ordered array of TiO2 nanoparticles on the conductive nitrogen-doped graphene (NG). |
Application: | Shows unique character as an initiator of radical reactions such as the hydrostannation of α,β-unsaturated ketones. |
General description: | Cu is present in +1 (cuprous) valence state in CuCl. CuCl is a semiconductor having a wide band gap. It is a promising candidate for use in silicon-based optoelectronics since its lattice resembles with silicon. It participates in various reactions with Grignard reagents. |
