Application: Petroleum ether may be used in absorption chromatographic purification of organic compounds.
General description: Petroleum ether is a low boiling point fraction having boiling point in the range of 40-60°C. Extracts of leaves of Litchi chinensis Gaertn. (Sapindaceae) have been prepared in petroleum ether and were evaluated for antiinflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic activities.
