General description: Sodium perchlorate is a water soluble perchlorate salt. It is prepared by electrolyzing aqueous sodium chlorate solution. It is a strong oxidizing agent. On impregnating porous silicon with sodium perchlorate it forms an explosive composite which has been investigated.
