Application: | Lithium chloride (LiCl) may be used in the synthesis of lithium perchlorate by reacting with perchloric acid. |
General description: | Lithium chloride (LiCl) is a lithium salt. It participates in the Horner-Wadsworth-Emmons reactions of base-sensitive aldehydes and phosphonates. LiCl/N,N-Dimethylacetamide (DMAc) solvent system has been employed for the dissolution of cellulose and synthesis of various cellulose derivatives (cellulose esters, carbamates, sulfonates and ethers). It can be synthesized from lithium carbonate (Li2CO3). |
