Application: Iron(II) sulfate heptahydrate (FeSO4, FeSO4.7H2O) has been used to compose the Bold′s basal medium (BBM). It has been used to evaluate the total antioxidant activity of serum.
General description: Iron(II) sulfate heptahydrate is a hydrated iron(II) salt. It undergoes thermal degradation to afford hydrosulfate and oxysulfate of iron(III). Isothermal and dynamic thermal analysis methods have been proposed to study its thermal decomposition in air.
