| General description: | Streptavidin-coated polystyrene-based magnetic microparticles are a size standard, fit for particle size distribution (PSD) analysis of test samples. The accurate diameter of 1 μm is determined by methods described by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST, USA), such as: • Transmission electron microscopy • Scanning electron microscopy • Optical microscopy • COULTER COUNTER particle size analyzer with HDF system. • The measuring instruments are calibrated using standards obtained from the Community Bureau of Reference (BCR, Belgium: Standards RM 165, 166 or 167) and from the NIST (SRM 1690, 1691 or 1692). This analytical standard product is made up of superparamagnetic polystyrene particles. |
