Western Blotting (1 paper)
Application: Mouse monoclonal anti-human IgE-alkaline phosphatase antibody has been used for :
• immunoblot assays
• direct ELISA
• dot blot
Application: To confirm that a chimaeric monoclonal antibody had episolon chain, an elisa was performed using monoclonal anti-human IgE antibody (clone GE1) at a 1:1000 dilution.
Biochem/physiol Actions: IgEs are glycoprotein antibodies that regulate immunological responses to allergies and infections. These immunoglobulins have been implicated in mediating Type I hypersensitivity reactions. Elevated IgE levels have been associated with hyper IgE syndrome and allergic asthma.
