General description: | Affinity isolated antibody is obtained from anti-human IgE antiserum by immunospecific purification which removes essentially all goat serum proteins, including immunoglobulins, which do not specifically bind to the ε-chain of human IgE. Anti-Human IgE is conjugated to alkaline phosphatase by protein cross linking with 0.2% glutaraldehyde. IgE is present in low levels compared to other immunoglobulin isotypes. It exists in two forms, one being a secreted by plasma cell and the other form is associated with the B cell receptor. |
General description: | IgEs are glycoprotein antibodies that regulate immunological responses to allergies and infections. These immunoglobulins have been implicated in mediating Type I hypersensitivity reactions. Elevated IgE levels have been associated with hyper IgE syndrome and allergic asthma . Anti-Human IgE (epsilon-chain specific)-Alkaline Phosphatase antibody is specific for human IgE when tested against human IgA, IgG, IgM, Bence Jones κ and λ myeloma proteins. |
