Application: This recombinant variant is recommended for use in absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) pharmacological research; cell culture; drug delivery research; and cryopreservation of cells.
Biochem/physiol Actions: Albumins are soluble monomeric proteins found in the body fluids and tissues of animals and in some plant seeds. Serum albumin functions as a carrier protein for steroids, fatty acids, and thyroid hormones. Serum albumins are also vital in regulating the colloidal osmotic pressures of blood.
Legal Information: Albagen is a trademark of Albumin Therapeutics, LLC.
Other Notes: View more information on human serum albumin .
Packaging: 1 g in poly bottle
Physical properties: Construct with a single deletion of Asp from the N-terminus to create a hypoallergenic construct. Structural equivalence to native albumin confirmed x-ray crystallography. The Asp deletion eliminates an important antigenic determinant by eliminating the principal copper and nickel binding site of albumin. The first three residues of human albumin are considered non-structural. Also blocked at Cys34 to improve stability, monomer content and homogeneity.
