| Principle: | Alkaline phosphatase hydrolyzes pNPP to p-nitrophenol and inorganic phosphate. During incubation of the alkaline phosphatase sample and substrate at 37 C, the reaction is followed by monitoring the increase in absorbance at 405 nm. |
