| Biochem/physiol Actions: | Cyclin G2 is an unconventional cyclin protein that shuttles between nucleus and cytoplasm and is linked to growth inhibition and cell differentiation. Overexpression of CyclinG2 results in p53-dependent arrest of cell cycle in G1/S phase. It enforces G2/M cell cycle arrest in collaboration with DNA damage checkpoint signaling. |
