| Biochem/physiol Actions: | Rab3A is a synaptic vesicle-associated GTPase that regulates Ca+2-dependent exocytosis. It is ubiquitously present in nervous system and in the acrosomal region of human sperm. Rab3A forms complex with RIM and Munc13 proteins to regulate synaptic vesicles docking and acrosomal exocytosis. It is a regulator of Ca+2-dependent release of α-melanocyte stimulating hormone. |
