| General description: | MyB binding protein (P160) 1a (MyBBP1A), a c-myb proto-oncogene product (c-Myb)-interacting protein, is post-translationally processed to 67 kDa fragment (p67MBP). MyBBP1A is primarily expressed in the nucleoli. MyBBP1A which is associated with RNA Polymerase 1 complex and ribosome biogenesis machinery regulates rRNA metabolism and is believed to connect the process of ribosome biogenesis and Myb-dependent transcription to regulate/coordinate cell cycle progression and proliferation. |
