Biochem/physiol Actions: | KEAP1 (Kelch-like ECH-associated protein 1) is an adaptor protein that represses Nrf2-mediated transcription. The KEAP1/Nrf2 axis regulates the ROS signaling and has important role in osteoclast differentiation and expression of antioxidant enzymes. Aberrant methylation of KEAP1 gene has been reported in breast cancer and may contribute to the cancer progression. |
