| Application: | Anti-SF3A3 polyclonal antibody is used to tag splicing factor 3a, subunit 3, 60 kDa for detection and quantitation by Western blotting and in plasma by immunohistochemical (IHC) techniques. It is used as a probe to determine the roles of splicing factor 3a, subunit 3, 60 kDa in conversion of 15S U2-snRNP into the active 17S pre-mRNA splicing particle. |
| Biochem/physiol Actions: | Anti-SF3A3 polyclonal antibody reacts with bovine, human, mouse, rat, chicken, and canine splicing factor 3a, subunit 3, 60 kDa proteins. |
| Biochem/physiol Actions: | SF3A3 is the subunit 3 of the splicing factor 3a protein complex. The splicing factor 3a heterotrimer includes subunits 1, 2 and 3 and is necessary for the in vitro conversion of 15S U2 snRNP into an active 17S particle that performs pre-mRNA splicing. Subunit 3 interacts with subunit 1 through its amino-terminus while the zinc finger domain of subunit 3 plays a role in its binding to the 15S U2 snRNP.This This gene encodes subunit 3 of the splicing factor 3a protein complex. | General description: | Splicing factor 3a, subunit 3, 60 kDa (SF3A3, PRPF9, SF3a60), a 60-kDa subunit of the splicing factor 3a complex, associates with SF3A1 and SF3A2 to form a heterotrimer which helps convert 15S U2-snRNP into the active 17S pre-mRNA splicing particle. SF3a3 has been identified as a co-repressor of constitutive androstane receptor (CAR) transcriptional activity. |
