Application: Anti-NR3C2 polyclonal antibody is used to tag mineralocorticoid receptor protein for detection and quantitation by Western blotting and in plasma by immunohistochemical (IHC) techniques. It is used as a probe to determine the roles of mineralocorticoid receptor in the mineralocorticoid and glucocorticoid ligand-dependent control of salt balance and water retention.
Biochem/physiol Actions: Anti-NR3C2 polyclonal antibody reacts with chicken, human, mouse, and rat mineralocorticoid/ aldosterone receptors.
Biochem/physiol Actions: NR3C2 is a receptor for both mineralocorticoids (MC) such as aldosterone and glucocorticoids (GC) such as corticosterone or cortisol. It binds to mineralocorticoid response elements (MRE) and transactivates target genes. The effect of MC is to increase ion and water transport and thus raise extracellular fluid volume and blood pressure and lower potassium levels.

General description: Mineralocorticoid receptor/nuclear receptor subfamily 3, group C, member 2/ (NR3C2, MLR, MCR) is a nuclear receptor for mineralocorticoids (eg. aldosterone) and glucocorticoids (eg. cortisol) that activates expression of proteins involved with ionic (salt balance) and water transport such as the epithelial sodium channel, Na+/K+ pump and serum and glucocorticoid induced kinase (SGK1).

New Tariffs & Effects on Pricing

Tariff note: As we navigate the current environment of tariff surcharges and mid-year manufacturer price increases, we want to keep you informed. While we have avoided making specific decisions thus far, we anticipate that we will be forced to implement a cost adjustment policy to offset the fees we have already been absorbing. We are committed to transparency and moderation in this process.
