Endogenous APOBEC3B is a principal nuclear protein that facilitates the DNA C-to-U editing activity in breast cancer cell-line extracts. APOBEC3B exhibits antiviral activity against human T-cell leukemia virus type 1 (HTLV-1) and is a potent inhibitor of simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV) replication. |
