| Biochem/physiol Actions: | ARCN1 gene encodes an intracellular protein, which is the δ subunit of coat protein I (COPI) complex and is localized on chromosome 11 at 11q23.3. It is a 57kD protein consisting of C-terminal domain (CTD) and an N-terminal longin domain. The encoded protein facilitates the retrograde transport of proteins and lipids from the cis-Golgi network to the endoplasmic reticulum and intra-Golgi membranes. Single nucleotide polymorphism in ARCN1 gene increases the risk of Glioma. |
