| Biochem/physiol Actions: | Avidin, Streptavidin or ExtrAvidine show strong affinity interaction with biotin rendering the biotin-avidin system an extremely effective tool in molecular biology, protein chemistry and immunology. The high specificity of the biotinylated antibody to rabbit IgG and the stability of the biotin-avidin complex has been exploited in variety of reagents (Avidin, Streptavidin or ExtrAvidin conjugated to FITC, TRITC, Peroxidase or Alkaline Phosphatase), for the detection and quantitation of rabbit IgG. |
| Biochem/physiol Actions: | Binds all rabbit Igs. |

| General description: | IgG antibodies regulate several functions such as phagocytosis and complement activation. Thus they play a crucial role in facilitating cytological immune responses. Anti-rabbit IgG (whole molecule)–biotin antibody can be used in immunohistochemistry. The product shows minimal interspecies cross reactivity to human IgG hence can be used in enzyme immunoassays or dot blot in presence of human IgG. Anti-rabbit IgG (whole molecule)–biotin antibody reacts specifically to all rabbit immunoglobulin but has no reactivity with human IgG. |
| General description: | IgGs are glycoprotein antibodies that modulate several immune responses. Rabbit IgGs against target proteins are often used as primary antibodies in various research applications. Thus, secondary anti-rabbit IgGs conjugated to a detectable substrate are useful tools for the analysis of target proteins Anti-Rabbit IgG (whole molecule)-Biotin antibody reacts with rabbit serum and rabbit IgG. The product does not cross-react with human IgG. |
