General description: Ceramide phosphorylethanolamine is a phosphosphingolipid. It maintains the structural framework of the plasma membrane, aids in the formation and functioning of plasma membrane lipid rafts, cell signaling and transduction events. Ceramide phosphorylethanolamine modulates various cellular processes, like growth, differentiation, apoptosis and angiogenesis.
