| Biochem/physiol Actions: | R(+)-SCH-23390 hydrochloride is a selective D1 dopamine receptor antagonist. It has greater binding capacity towards 5-hydroxytryptamine 2 (5-HT2) and 5-HT1C serotonin receptor subtypes in in vitro. R(+)-SCH-23390 has a half-life of about 25 minutes after administration. It is known to possess anti-stereotypic effect and cataleptogenic effect. It also has inhibitory effect on motor activity. |
