| Biochem/physiol Actions: | D1 receptors regulate neuronal growth and development, mediate some behavioral responses, and modulate dopamine receptor D2-mediated events. D1 receptors are expressed on airway smooth muscle (ASM) and regulate smooth muscle force via cAMP activation of protein kinase A. It is a potential target for therapeutic relaxation of ASM. |

| General description: | D1 Dopamine Receptor encodes the D1 subtype of the dopamine receptor. The D1 subtype is the most abundant dopamine receptor in the central nervous system. This G-protein coupled receptor stimulates adenylyl cyclase and activates cyclic AMP-dependent protein kinases. |
| General description: | Monoclonal Anti-D1 Dopamine Receptor (rat IgG2a isotype) is derived from the rat hybridoma 1-1-F11 S.E6 produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from rat immunized with recombinant fusion protein containing the C-terminal 97 amino acid of human D1 dopamine receptor. Dopamine receptors belong to the family of seven transmembrane domain G protein coupled receptors (GPCRs). Dopamine receptors are mainly localized in the striatum, limbic system, the brain cortex and the infundibulum. The D1-like family consists of the D1 and D5 receptors. |
