| Biochem/physiol Actions: | Endothelin receptor type A (ETA, ETAR) is a human G protein-coupled receptor that mediates vasoconstriction of blood vessels. It is involved in tumor cell invasion, survival and metastasis. ETAR mediates the promotion of ET-1 on colon cancer cell survival, invasion and MMP-2 expression by a PI3K-mediated mechanism. It plays a critical role in colon cancer metastasis. |
| Biochem/physiol Actions: | The epitope is highly conserved in human, swine, bovine and chicken ET-A. |

| Immunogen: | synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 413-426 of rat ET-A (with additional N-terminal cysteine). |
| Physical form: | Lyophilized from a solution of phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 1% bovine serum albumin and 0.05% sodium azide. |
