Biochem/physiol Actions: Endothelin receptor type A (ETA, ETAR) is a human G protein-coupled receptor that mediates vasoconstriction of blood vessels. It is involved in tumor cell invasion, survival and metastasis. ETAR mediates the promotion of ET-1 on colon cancer cell survival, invasion and MMP-2 expression by a PI3K-mediated mechanism. It plays a critical role in colon cancer metastasis.
Biochem/physiol Actions: The epitope is highly conserved in human, swine, bovine and chicken ET-A.
