Immunofluorescence Anti-eIF2Be: Cat. No. E6407: Immunofluorescence of HUVEC cells using Anti-eIF2Be (red) at a 1:50 dilution, taken at 40× magnification and nuclear staining with Hoescht 33342 (blue). Yale HTCB IF procedure used.
Immunofluorescence Localization of eIF2Bε in NIH-3T3 cytoplasm. Cells were stained with Rabbit Anti-eIF2Bε (Cat. No. E6407) at a dilution of 1:1,000 followed by Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG, Cy3 conjugate, and counterstained with DAPI (blue) to stain nuclei (x40 magnification).
Immunofluorescence Graph Anti-eIF2Be: Cat. No. E6407: Intensity analysis of Anti-eIF2Be staining. Cytoplasmic and nuclear intensity values were obtained at 8 different antibody dilutions (1:50 to 1:6,400) as compared with the negative control. Yale HTCB IF procedure used.
Immunoblotting Lysates from various cell lines were separated on SDS-PAGE and probed with 1:500 dilution of Rabbit Anti-eIF2Bε (Cat. No. E6407). The antibody was developed with Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG, Peroxidase conjugate (Cat. No. A0545) and a chemiluminiscence substrate. Lanes: 1. 293-T; 2. HeLa; 3. MCF-7; 4. A549; 5. A431; 6. 3T3; 7. C2; 8. Biochem/physiol Actions: Translation initiation factor eIF-2B subunit ε is a protein encoded by the EIF2B5 gene in humans. The eIF2B is composed of five subunits α, β, γ, δ and ε, within which the ε subunit is responsible for catalyzing the guanine exchange reaction. Defect in any of these 5 subunits leads to diseases. Mutation in the subunit of eIF2B is associated with an autosomal recessive leukoencephalopathy called Vanishing white matter (VWM).
