Application: Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid has been used:
• as a component of peptide dilution buffer for intracellular BH3 (Bcl-2 homology (BH) domain) profiling and validation
• as a medium component in the hepatic stellate cell (HSCs) culture
• as a component of homogenization buffer for protein extraction from eye tissues
• for stopping benzonase reaction in lysis buffer

Biochem/physiol Actions: Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) is an anticoagulant, majorly used in preventing clotting of blood samples. EDTA may trigger aggregation of platelets resulting in pseudothrombocytopenia. EDTA along with tetracycline imparts serves as root conditioning agent and provides relief in gum infection. EDTA-tetracycline therapy decreases coronary artery calcium levels in atherosclerosis. Calcium Disodium EDTA administration is effective in slowing down the progression of chronic kidney disease.

New Tariffs & Effects on Pricing

Tariff note: As we navigate the current environment of tariff surcharges and mid-year manufacturer price increases, we want to keep you informed. While we have avoided making specific decisions thus far, we anticipate that we will be forced to implement a cost adjustment policy to offset the fees we have already been absorbing. We are committed to transparency and moderation in this process.
