| Features and Benefits: | Supercoiled vectors for protein expression in mammalian cells. Both of these vectors contain: • the polyadenylation signal and transcription termination sequence from BGH to enhance mRNA stability • the SV40 replication origin for episomal replication • the f1 origin for rescue of the sense strand • the neomycin resistance gene, and • an ampicillin resistance gene and colE1 origin for selection and maintenance in E. coli. The primary difference between these expression vectors is that one contains the enhancer-promoter sequence from human cytomegalovirus (CMV2) and the other from Rous sarcoma virus (RSV). Both are strong promoters for high-level transcription. |
| General description: | pRc and pRSV Supercoiled Expression Vectors (5.2 kb) are for protein expression in mammalian cells.
