Enhanced Validation-By Independent Antibodies HeLa cells were fixed and permeabilized with 4% paraformaldehyde followed by 0.5% Triton. Fixed cells were stained with 1:250 Anti-Histone Deacetylase 4 (HDAC4) (ML-19) antibody produced in Rabbit (Cat. No. H9411) (A) and developed using Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG, Cy3 conjugate, and 1:250 Anti-Histone Deacetylase 4 (HDAC4) antibody, Mouse monoclonal, Clone: HADC4-144 (Cat. No. H0163) (B). The antibody was developed using Goat Anti-Mouse IgG, Cy3 conjugate antibody. Results Two Anti-Histone Deacetylase 4 (HDAC4), H9411 (A) And H0163 (B) target different regions of Histone Deacetylase 4 (HDAC4) show similar staining profiles between the two antibodies, demonstrating Independent Antibody Verification.

| Biochem/physiol Actions: | Histone deacetylase (HDAC) catalyzes the deacetylation of histones. HDAC4 is implicated in transcriptional repression. It dynamically migrates between nucleus and cytoplasm through its nuclear import and export signals. Interaction of HDAC4 with 14-3-3 and myocyte enhancer factor-2 (Mef2) proteins disturbs such shuttling and thus directs HDAC4 to the cytoplasm and the nucleus, respectively. |
