| General description: | TRIB2 (tribbles pseudokinase 2) gene encodes a protein of tribbles family. These proteins share a Trb domain that is homologous to protein serine-threonine kinases. It is expressed in vascular smooth muscle cells, and endothelial cells. However, it lacks the active site lysine and a catalytic function. This protein induces programmed cell death of cells mainly of the hematopoietic origin. |
