| Biochem/physiol Actions: | Baculoviral IAP repeat containing 3 (BIR3) belongs to the IAP (inhibitors of apoptosis proteins) family and is involved in the apoptosis as well as NF (nuclear factor)-κB activation. BIR3 is mainly involved in the inhibition of apoptosis. It interacts with the tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-associated factors 1 and 2 (TRAF1 and TRAF2). |
