General description: | NAD(P)H:quinone oxidoreductase 1 is a homodimer that is predominantly cytosolic. Each monomer contains one molecule of FAD. The gene is localized to human chromosome 16q22.1 and is a single copy gene. It consists of six exons interspaced by five introns and spans a length of 20kb. The 5′UT, first two amino acids, and the first nucleotide of the third amino acid are encoded by exon 1. The rest of the exons encode the remaining 272 amino acids and the 3′UT. |
