It also acts as a SNEVPrp19/Pso4-interacting partner, and SNEVPrp19/Pso4 is involved in controlling the life span of human endothelial cells, the ubiquitin proteasome system, pre-mRNA splicing and DNA damage repair. |

It is a component of the spliceosome, and also acts as a SNEVPrp19-Pso4-interacting partner. Thus, it is a splicing factor. This gene is localized to human chromosome 1q22. It is transcribed in multiple isoforms such as BLOM7α, -β and -γ. These three isoforms differ only in their C-termini. |
