Enhanced Validation-By Independent Antibodies Immunohistochemical staining of human colon, liver, prostate and testis using Anti-EQTN antibody HPA015089 (A) shows similar protein distribution across tissues to independent antibody HPA015504 (B).
Enhanced Validation-Orthogonal RNAseq Confirmation Immunohistochemistry analysis in human testis and prostate tissues using HPA015089 antibody. Corresponding EQTN RNA-seq data are presented for the same tissues.
By Recombinant Expression Western Blotting. Western blot analysis in control (vector only transfected HEK293T lysate) and EQTN over-expression lysate (Co-expressed with a C-terminal myc-DDK tag (~3.1 kDa) in mammalian HEK293T cells, LY431817).
Immunohistochemistry Immunohistochemical staining of human prostate shows no positivity in glandular cells as expected.
Immunohistochemistry Immunohistochemical staining of human testis shows strong positivity in cells in seminiferous ducts.
Immunohistochemistry Immunohistochemical staining of human colon shows no positivity in glandular cells as expected.
Immunohistochemistry Immunohistochemical staining of human liver shows no positivity in hepatocytes as expected.

Application: All Prestige Antibodies Powered by Atlas Antibodies are developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project  and as a result, are supported by the most extensive characterization in the industry.

The Human Protein Atlas project can be subdivided into three efforts: Human Tissue Atlas, Cancer Atlas, and Human Cell Atlas. The antibodies that have been generated in support of the Tissue and Cancer Atlas projects have been tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues and through the recent efforts of the Human Cell Atlas project, many have been characterized by immunofluorescence to map the human proteome not only at the tissue level but now at the subcellular level. These images and the collection of this vast data set can be viewed on the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) site by clicking on the Image Gallery link. We also provide Prestige Antibodies® protocols   and other useful information.
Biochem/physiol Actions: EQTN (equatorin) is thought have a role in the formation of acrosome in mice testis.
Features and Benefits: Prestige Antibodies® are highly characterized and extensively validated antibodies with the added benefit of all available characterization data for each target being accessible via the Human Protein Atlas portal linked just below the product name at the top of this page. The uniqueness and low cross-reactivity of the Prestige Antibodies® to other proteins are due to a thorough selection of antigen regions, affinity purification, and stringent selection. Prestige antigen controls are available for every corresponding Prestige Antibody and can be found in the linkage section.

Every Prestige Antibody is tested in the following ways:
• IHC tissue array of 44 normal human tissues and 20 of the most common cancer type tissues.
• Protein array of 364 human recombinant protein fragments.
General description: EQTN (equatorin) is localized to human chromosome 9p21, and has no similarity to any known gene or protein. It spans ~13kb, and has eight exons. The encoded protein has 294 amino acids, and has a putative molecular weight of 32.8kb. Its C-terminal contains a putative leucine zipper, and it is predominantly expressed in the testis. It is also called Afaf (acrosome formation associated factor).
Immunogen: Acrosome formation-associated factor precursor recombinant protein epitope signature tag (PrEST)

New Tariffs & Effects on Pricing

Tariff note: As we navigate the current environment of tariff surcharges and mid-year manufacturer price increases, we want to keep you informed. While we have avoided making specific decisions thus far, we anticipate that we will be forced to implement a cost adjustment policy to offset the fees we have already been absorbing. We are committed to transparency and moderation in this process.
