| Biochem/physiol Actions: | PTGFRN (prostaglandin F2 receptor inhibitor) is a glycosylated, type 1 integral membrane protein belonging to the Ig superfamily. It is highly involved in the lipid accumulation and formation of tetraspanin network in the plasma membrane. During the network formation, it directly interacts with the tetraspanin CD9 and CD81. The association of PTGFRN with CD9 and CD81 positively modulates the cross-linking efficiency of the protein. PTGFRN inhibits [3H] prostaglandin F2α by binding to its receptor. |
