| Biochem/physiol Actions: | STRN (striatin, calmodulin binding protein) acts as a Ca2+-dependent scaffold protein. It conjugates with the anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) gene to produce STRN-ALK fusion protein. The fusion protein retains the N-terminal caveolin-binding and coiled-coil domains of STRN fused to the intracellular juxtamembrane region of ALK. Its coiled-coil domain exerts tyrosine kinase activity and signaling of STRN-ALK. |
