| Biochem/physiol Actions: | LMBRD1 (LMBR1 domain containing 1) may be involved in the lysosomal cobalamin transport. It was found to mediate transport of cobalamin through the lysosomal membranes. Mutation in LMBRD1 gene causes the cblF (Cobalamin F defect) defect of vitamin B12 (cobalamin) metabolism, characterized with accumulation of internalized free cobalamin in the lysosome. |
