| Biochem/physiol Actions: | CAP-Gly domain containing linker protein 2 (CLIP2) takes part in cell division, segregation of chromosomes and in attaching organelles to microtubules. CLIP2 may be useful as a marker in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). Mutations in the gene encoding it have been linked with Williams-Beuren syndrome and it has been shown to be expressed in colorectal carcinomas. |
