| Biochem/physiol Actions: | CREBZF (cAMP response element binding bZIP transcription factor) might function as an amino acid stress sensor, which helps in controlling various signaling pathways regulating amino acid response (AAR). CREBZF takes part in DNA damage stress responses by controlling the p53 pathway.This protein, upon interaction with host cell factor C1 (HCFC1), helps in transcription activation of herpes simplex virus genes. CREBZF protein regulates the action of NGF (nerve growth factor) by activating the expression of its high-affinity receptor tropomyosin-related kinase (trkA). |
