| Biochem/physiol Actions: | ZDHHC2 (zinc finger DHHC-type containing 2) interacts with PSD95 (postsynaptic density protein 95), SNAP25 (synaptosomal-associated protein 25), SNAP23, CKAP4 (cytoskeleton-associated protein 4), CD9 and CD151. It plays a crucial role in the development, metastasis as well as recurrence of many cancers. ZDHHC2 is suggested as a tumor/metastasis suppressor gene. |
| Biochem/physiol Actions: | Zinc finger DHHC-type containing 2 (ZDHHC2) mediates palmitoylation of cytoskeleton-associated protein 4 (CKAP4), which is essential for CKAP4 subcellular division and antiproliferative factor (APF) stimulated cellular proliferation and gene expression. The protein plays an important role in metastasis and recurrence in human hepatocellular carcinoma. |
