| Biochem/physiol Actions: | CACYBP (calcyclin binding protein) is a part of the ubiquitination machinery and is involved in the degradation of β-catenin. It can interact with S100, SIAH1 (seven in absentia homolog 1) and SKP1 (S-phase kinase-associated protein 1). CACYBP is involved in proliferation, differentiation, multidrug resistance and tumorigenicity. It can work as an oncogene and as a tumor suppressor. In glioma cells, CACYBP enhances the cellular proliferation. |
