Biochem/physiol Actions: Imperatorin is an important bioactive furanocoumarin. It is used to treat neurodegenerative diseases. It possesses anticancer, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and HIV replication-inhibiting activities. Imperatorin serves as an inhibitor of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and may help in treating Alzheimer′s disease (AD) and Parkinson′s disease (PD).
