Application: Anti-Interleukin-8 antibody can be used for the following :
• For neutralizing the biological activity of recombinant human IL-8 and natural human IL-8.
• Immunoblotting.
• ELISA.
Application: Anti-Interleukin-8 antibody can be used in immunocytochemistry and immunohistochemistry.
Biochem/physiol Actions: Interleukin 8 (IL-8) stimulates neutrophils to produce lysosomal enzymes along with myeloperoxidase, α-mannosidase and β-glucuronidase . Goat anti-Interleukin-8 antibody reacts specifically with recombinant and natural human IL-8 but not with recombinant human GROα. Elevated expression of the gene is observed in a number of cancers including chronic spontaneous urticaria and breast cancer, thus serves as a prognostic marker for the same. IL-8 regulates the metastasis and angiogenesis processes during cancer development. IL-8 is responsible for epithelial–mesenchymal transition which plays an important role in providing cancer cells the mobility to invade other neighbouring cells, thereby contributing to metastasis.
Biochem/physiol Actions: The antibody will neutralize the biological activity of recombinant and natural human IL-8, but not recombinant human GROα.
