General description: Ivermectin is a macro-cyclic lactone, derived from avermectin. It functions as an antiparasitic agent. Ivermectin is used against gastrointestinal roundworms, lungworms, mites and lice. It is used to treat onchocerciasis, strongyloidiasis, ascariasis and filariases.
Other Notes: Primarily ivermectin B1a.
