General description: Magnesium chloride is a common ionic halide that readily dissolves in water. Additionally, magnesium chloride serves as an essential co-factor in numerous enzymes, including DNAse, specific restriction enzymes, and Ribonuclease H. It is widely utilized to provide magnesium ions in diverse molecular biology applications, including PCR reactions.
