Application: Magnetic separators are used in affinity chromatography. Magnetic separators have been used to remove malaria-infected red blood cells (pRBCs) from blood circulation in patients with severe malaria.
General description: Plastic frames with embedded permanent magnets for affinity filtration with magnetic matrices. These separators attract magnetic particles and bound material to the side of the vessel. Unbound soluble components remain in the supernatant, and particulates settle to the bottom.
General description: Rack accommodates six 1.5 mL microcentrifuge tubes, and provides a vertical separation in less than 5 minutes.
