| Application: | Mannose-agarose is used in protein chromatography, affinity chromatography and carbohydrate matrices. Mannose-agarose has been used in studies assessing poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation of mannose-binding lectin out of human kidney cells and to inform mannose-associated serine protease (MASP) activated components of the coagulation system. Mannose-agarose has also been used to study the innate immunity and resistance to Aeromonas salmonicida exhibited by the sea lamprey (Petromyzon marinus), a parasitic cartilaginous fish of the North American Great Lakes and a predator of many bony fish species of commercial importance to the fishing industry. |
