Immunohistochemistry Formalin fixed, paraffin-embedded Human tongue tissue sections were stained with 1:800 Monoclonal Anti-Myoglobin antibody produced in Mouse, Clone: MG-1 (Cat. No. M7773) followed by 20 μg/mL Anti-Mouse IgG (Fab specific)-Biotin antibody produced in Goat (Cat. No. B7151) and by 20 μg/mL ExtrAvidin®-Peroxidase (Cat. No. E2886).
ELISA Monoclonal Anti-Myoglobin antibody produced in Mouse, Clone: MG-1 (Cat. No. M7773), followed by 1:500 Anti-Mouse IgG (Fab specific)-Peroxidase antibody produced in Goat (Cat. No. A9917), was serially diluted to detect Myoglobin by indirect ELISA. Reactivity is observed with Myoglobin, but not Hemoglobin.

| General description: | Myoglobin is a hemoprotein that regulates the storage and diffusion of oxygen in heart and skeletal muscles. Additionally, this protein also protects the tissues from oxidative damage by controlling the levels of reactive oxygen species and nitric oxide. Thus, myoglobin has been implicated in regulating nitric oxide and oxygen levels in the mitochondrial compartments of skeletal muscle and cardiac cells. Monoclonal Anti-Myoglobin antibody is specific for myoglobin and stains human skeletal muscles. The product does not cross-react with hemoglobin. |
