| Biochem/physiol Actions: | The antibody reacts specifically with the monophosphorylated threonine and the active diphosphorylated forms of MAP kinase (ERK-1 and ERK-2). It does not recognize the non-phosphorylated form of the MAP kinase molecule, or the diphosphorylated forms of JNK and p38 MAPK. The epitope recognized by the antibody contains the phosphorylated threonine residue within the regulatory site of active MAP kinase (e.g.,Thr183 in ERK-2). |
