Fatty Acid Uptake Kit, Cat. No. MAK156: Comparison of fatty acid uptake by 3T3-L1 adipocytes and fibroblast. Cells were plated at 50,000 cells/100 μL/well in a 96 well black wall/clear bottom poly-D lysine plate for 5 hours, and then serum deprived for 1 hour. Cells were treated without (control) or with insulin (150 nM), and incubated at 37 °C, 5% CO2 incubator for 30 minutes. At the end of the incubation time, 100 μl of fatty acid mixture was added into the well, and incubated for another 60 min, the fluorescence signal was measured with a plate reader using bottom read mode.
