Enhanced Validation-By Recombinant Expression Antibody recognition: Anti-Nap1 (N-terminal) antibody produced in Rabbit (Cat. No. N3788) is confirmed by western blot in the cell sample that has been altered to overexpress the target protein-HEK-293T over expressing Nap1 (Lane 1) while no staining is detected in the wild type sample-HEK-293T (Lane 2). The antibody was developed with Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG, Peroxidase conjugate (Cat. No. A0545) and a chemiluminescent substrate. Antibody dilution: 1:2,000.
Immunoblotting Cell lysates were separated on SDS-PAGE and probed with Anti-Nap1 (N-terminal) (Cat. No. N3788). The antibody was developed with Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG, Peroxidase conjugate (Cat. No. A0545) and a chemiluminescent substrate. Antibody dilution 1:2,000. Lanes 1. NIH3T3 cells 2. HEK-293T cells transfected with human Nap1 3. HEK-293T cells untransfected 4. NIH3T3 cells – Inhibition of antibody binding with Nap1 immunizing peptide (human, 1-16) (2 μg/mL)

Application: Anti-Nap1 (N-terminal) antibody produced in rabbit has been used in immunoblotting.
Biochem/physiol Actions: NCK associated protein 1 (NAP-1) has been shown to be downregulated in Alzheimer′s disease.
Biochem/physiol Actions: Nck-associated protein 1 (NAP1/NCKAP1) along with Sra1 and ABI1 (Abl interactor 1) is involved in stabilizing WAVE2. Removal of Nap1 or Sra1 by RNAi abrogated the formation of lamellipodia induced by growth factor. Nap1 interacts directly with Abi1. It has been shown that Nap1 mediates the interaction of the Nap1-PIR121 complex to Abi1. Nap1 may participates in neuronal cell death in Alzheimer′s disease (AD).

General description: Nap1 (N-terminal) interacts with Nck and may be involved in the downstream signaling of Nck [RGD].
General description: Nap1 is also known as Nap125, Nck-associated protein 1, NCKAP1 or histone chaperone NAP1. It is an essential component of this signaling complex. This gene is located on human chromosome 2q32. It is an important apoptosis-related gene.
General description: The gene encoding NCK associated protein 1 (NAP-1) is localized on human chromosome 2q32 and is expressed in neuronal cells.
