Immunofluorescence NT2 cells were fixed and permeabilized with 4% paraformaldehyde followed by 0.5% Triton X-100. Fixed cells were stained with 1 μg/mL Monoclonal Anti-POU5F1 (Oct4), Clone: PF-29 (Cat. No. P0082). The antibody was developed using Goat Anti-Mouse IgG, Cy3™-conjugate.
Immunoblotting NT2/D1 whole cell extract was separated on SDS-PAGE and probed with 1 μg/mL Monoclonal Anti-POU5F1 (Oct4) Clone PF-29 (Cat. No. P0082). The antibody was developed using Goat Anti-Mouse IgG Peroxidase (Cat. No. A2304) and a chemiluminescent substrate.
Immunoprecipitation Monoclonal Anti-POU5F1 Clone: PF-29 (Cat. No. P0082) was used to immunoprecipitate POU5F1 from NT2 whole cell extract. Detection antibody: Monoclonal Anti-POU5F1 Clone: PF-29 (Cat. No. P0082) Lanes 1. 5 μg antibody 2. 10 μg antibody 3. Negative control: without cell extract 4. Positive control: NT2 whole cell extract

Biochem/physiol Actions: Monoclonal Anti-POU5F1 (Oct4) recognizes human POU5F1/Oct4.
Biochem/physiol Actions: POU5F1 (POU class 5 homeobox 1) controls homeostasis of embryonic cell development and pluripotency. The POU5F1 gene is highly expressed in cancer cells and offers resistance against chemotherapy.
Biochem/physiol Actions: POU5F1 protein functions as an early developmental control gene. This protein has been recognized as fundamental in the maintenance of pluripotency of embryonic stem cells and primordial germ cells. POU5F1 protein has been proposed as a useful marker for germ cell tumors (GCTs) that can exhibit pluripotential, specifically seminoma/ dysgerminoma/germinoma and embryonal carcinoma (EC). POU5F1 has also been established as a marker for extragonadal germ cell tumors (GCT) and metastatic tumors.

General description: Monoclonal Anti-POU5F1 (Oct4) (mouse IgG2a isotype) is derived from the hybridoma PF-29 produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from BALB/c mice, immunized with a peptide.
General description: POU5F1 (POU class 5 homeobox 1) gene codes for a transcription factor that binds to octamer sequence. POU5F1 is mapped to human chromosome 6p21.33.
Immunogen: amino acids 20-37 of human POU5F1 peptide.
Physical form: Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.
Preparation Note: For continuous use, store at 2-8 °C for up to one month. For extended storage, freeze at -20 °C in working aliquots. Repeated freezing and thawing, or storage in “frost-free” freezers, is not recommended. If slight turbidity occurs upon prolonged storage, clarify the solution by centrifugation before use. Working dilution samples should be discarded if not used within 12 hours.
